Il Corallino Historic Fishing Photo Collection

Help Us Honor San Diego’s Fishing History

As Il Corallino prepares to open in Point Loma, we’re celebrating the generations of fishermen, fishing families, and maritime traditions that have shaped San Diego’s waterfront.

We invite you to share historic photographs that tell the story of San Diego’s fishing heritage, from fishermen and their families to fishing boats, canneries, docks, Tuna Harbor, and everyday life along the waterfront.

Whether you have a treasured family photograph or a piece of local maritime history, we’d love to see it. Selected photographs will be framed and displayed in Il Corallino’s dining room, helping honor and share the stories of the people and families who shaped our coastal community.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome historic photographs in both black and white and color that capture San Diego’s fishing heritage, including fishermen and fishing families, portraits and family gatherings, fishing boats and life at sea, cannery workers and waterfront activity, Tuna Harbor and the local fishing industry, and everyday moments connected to the people and families who shaped San Diego’s fishing community.

Photo Submission Guidelines

Digital images are preferred for submission and potential printing and display. For the best print quality, we recommend a resolution of 300 DPI or higher and a file size of 1 MB or larger, when available. JPEG, PNG, and TIFF formats are welcome, and both black-and-white and color photographs are encouraged.

Don’t have a scanner? No problem! If you have an original photograph you’d like to contribute but need help digitizing it, please contact info@ilcorallino.com. We’d be happy to coordinate with you.

Submission deadline: December 1, 2026
